Join the HireMeUp team for Blackmores Bridge Run & Help Raise Funds for Oasis Youth Support

With the City2Surf still fresh in our poor legs’ memory, the HireMeUp team is forgetting the pain and setting our sights on Blackmores Bridge Run next month. And, we’d love for you to join us!

We’ve chosen to run for the Salvation Army’s Oasis Youth Support Network — a fantastic non-profit dedicated to giving homeless and disadvantaged young people hope, help and opportunities to access relevant education, training, jobs, counseling, and drug/alcohol programs.

Join the HireMeUp/Oasis team for one of the world’s most scenic fun runs and help us raise funds for a cause that is close to our hearts. We’ll provide all of our team members with a T-Shirt to wear on race day plus a practice lap around the Bay Run, Iron Cove, followed by a sausage sizzle on 11 September. And, if you’re keen to start training now we’ll be doing the Bay Run every Sunday starting at 10:30am from now until race day and would love for you to join us!

On race day, you’ll also have access to free massages, face painting, balloons, refreshing drinks and snacks (and, as Alli keeps repeating, — you don’t even have to run!)

And, some of us will be skipping the run part and just enjoy the fun enjoying the sunshine and taking in Sydney’s icons. It truly is a really a beautiful walk across the Harbour Bridge, down the Cahill Expressway around Circular Quay through the Botanic Gardens and finishing at the Opera house.

But if you’re keen to join the HireMeUp/Oasis team at Blackmores and tick this world-class event off of your bucket list follow these instructions! (the process isn’t the best so we’ve tried to be as clear as possible – sorry Blackmores but it’s true!)

  1. Log onto and select “ENTER”.
  2. You will be asked if you are registering as part of a team. Please select “I WOULD LIKE TO SEARCH FOR AN EXISTING TEAM”.
  3. Please type in the name “TEAM OASIS” which is links you to the official Oasis Team Fundraising Page.
  4. Select the green tick once “TEAM OASIS” and Team Manager Vanessa Birch appears.
  5. On the Entry Type Selection Page, please skip the Division and type in OasisYSN as the password then click JOIN.
  6. Please select the category/ running event you would like to participate in and then you will need to complete your entry details. Please remember to select The Salvation Army OASIS under the Run for charity & receive a rebate on your entry category.
  7. IMPORTANT: Send the HireMeUp team a copy of your registration confirmation with your preferred T-Shirt size ( and we’ll send you an email detailing our practice Bay Runs and sausage sizzle.
